The Tree

Colin Chandler works for the National Trust as the Chairman of Significant Trees. He’s a reasonably content and self-sufficient man but he is also a man of obsessions. His particular interest in Chinese culture leads him to a series of encounters with the beautiful young gallery assistant, Kathryn Hu. What follows is a fascinating journey reaching back in time to Imperial China and then to the first immigrants of the Australian goldrush.
