Horn Sonatas
Barry Tuckwell is widely considered to be one of the world’s pre-eminent musicians. This disc features five contrasting works for horn and piano – from the influence of Parisian salons in Moscheles Thème varié and Duo, Op. 63, to the 20th century harmony of the two sonatas by Hindemith, finishing up with the rarely heard Sonata Op. 178 by Rheinberger.
