Hitching

In 1995, Kristy drove from Adelaide to Brisbane and back with her friend Dave Sag on a quest to pick up and interview hitch hikers. After covering nearly six thousand kilometres and picking up only five hitchers, Brooks is left to ponder on the demise of the adventurous spirit that defines hitch hiking, the co-operation and trust that inspires one stranger to pick up another on a dirty stretch of bubbling asphalt.
