Leonard is a small rooster with no self-esteem. Basil is a big rooster whose job it is to wake the farmer. When Basil loses his voice, the other animals try to persuade Leonard that he must now wake the farmer. But Leonard thinks he is too small for the job. Only when he is chased and jostled does he suddenly find his voice.
